Freema Agyeman

Freema Agyeman is a British actress born in London in 1979 to Ghanaian and Iranian parents. She graduated from Middlesex University with a BA Honours degree in Performing Arts and Design, and also attended Radford University in the United States. Agyeman's most noted television role to date was as Lola Wise in the now defunct soap opera Crossroads. She has also appeared in several episodes of the ITV police drama The Bill.

Freema Agyeman To Play Martha Jones

Freema Agyeman has been confirmed to play Martha Jones, the new companion to Doctor Who. Doctor Who fans with sharp eyes will remember her as Adeola in episode 12 of the most recent series of Doctor Who, this character suffered a terrible fate at the hands of the Cybermen. Freema will be playing a brand new character Martha Jones in series three.
