Am I Bovered?
Not Anymore No! Catherine Tate started out on her comedy career as a savy, fast talking, storytelling stand-up.
Tate is now best known for a range of carefully observed and superbly performed characters as seen on her BBC2 hit TV programme, "The Catherine Tate show".
Who is Catherine Tate?
Born Catherine Ford in Bloomsbury, London in 1968 she attended a local Catholic primary school and a south London convent secondary school before going on to train at the Central School of Speech and Drama. Her television career began with roles in serial dramas such as Casualty and The Bill. She also appeared in comedy series such as The Harry Hill Show, Big Train, Wild West and That Peter Kay Thing before being given the chance to front her own show which she co-wrote with Derren Litten.
Since the start of the Catherine Tate Show in 2004, she has appeared in the BBC TV adaptation of Bleak House.
In 2005, Catherine appeared in the West End play Some Girl(s), alongside Friends actor David Schwimmer.

Lauren
Lauren the Teenager (listed in the Series One DVD as "Fly Girl") - Lauren is a school girl from hell with a seriously bad attitude. Whenever challenged by unfavourable situations she responds by constantly asking, "Am I bothered? Am I bothered though?" If insulted, she asks, "Are you disrespecting me? Are you disrespecting my family?" or "Are you calling me a pikey?" Sketches throughout the series saw Lauren arguing with authority figures such as train inspectors and teachers, as well as her friends. Watch Out Davros!
Nan
Nan Taylor involves an old woman who is frequently visited by her well-mannered, overlly polite grandson. The visits usually start off well enough, with the grandmother showing how grateful she is that her grandson has come to see her. However, things usually take a turn for the worse after she starts to make unfavourable comments about her neighbours, family, or home help visitors. One episode saw the grandson take her to a pound shop.

Dr Who
Following her successful appearance as Donna Noble in the Doctor Who Christmas special 2006, it has recently been revealed the actress, famous for her catchphrase "Am I bothered?", will return in the role as the Doctor's companion in series four in 2008. She is only the second actor to play a companion accompanying a Doctor played by a younger actor.
